Uniqlo x IDLF Collection

Happy Friday Guys!

With Autumn well underway here in Melbourne, I am loving the injection of colour into my wardrobe. Although I can never go past red, as you probably already know – I am also getting right around lime green, royal/navy blues and soon maybe even lilac – although at where it stands, that one is still a maybe. Either way, I’ve never really shied away from red and this season is no different. With the new UNIQLO x Ines De La Frassange collection dropping in select stores and online, my picks were anything red, striped, spotted and chic… Which was, well, practically the entire collection, so picking a few favourites turned out to be quite the challenge, but none the less, here were my favourites.

Although almost always a fan of prints/patterns and stripes, this ribbed stripey sweater was a little more bold than my usual vibe, but paired back with UNIQLO x IDLF trousers, I felt it complimented the look perfectly.

What are your picks from the collection? I would love to know, let me know below!

Transeasonal Wardrobe Must-Haves

Having only recently properly acquainted myself with the Melbourne based label ELKA COLLECTIVE, I’ve been really getting right around their AW17 collection this season. With a super relaxed, somewhat feminine and ridiculously wearable aesthetic to all their items, their collection has managed to form quite a base for my Autumn wardrobe. I have found their clothes to be super transeasonal-friendly, with items that can easily be worn on hotter or cooler days, depending how you choose to style them.

Peony Please

GOOD EVENING EVERYONE! So before I totally bid fair well to the summer that was, I wanted to share with you a few sneaky summer snaps featuring a recent fave, Peony Swimwear. Although having only somewhat recently acquainted myself with the boutique Australian swimwear label, I kind of can’t get enough of it, like for real though. From their pastel shades and dreamy patterns to the high quality fabric and flawless fit, this brand is literally all I have ever wanted in swimwear and some. Plus, I’m not even going to re-mention the name, I mean, Peony? Please, only like my favourite flower second to roses (just FYI…). But anyways, you totally get it – this brand is everything.

Sunday Story

As the week hits its hump, I wanted to share a few dreamy photographs from the weekend that was. I spend Sunday doing all sorts of Sunday things, like early morning coffee catch-up with friends, followed by Camberwell Market visits and freshly-cut flower pick-ups. I also had a little revelation that my Sundays’ are about 10 times better with a vintage-inspired Papillionaire bicycle in it. Operating not only as my newest mode of transportation, it has indeed become my latest fashion accessory. Plus the cheeky little wooden basket is the perfect level of chic and sturdy to carry all my little Sunday things.

Staple Stems

Inspired by the sunshine and the breeze, I spent the better half of my day, prancing around in my new Sparrow Maxi Dress by Staple the Label. I fell in love with the whole baby blue, light-weight, dreamy feel of the dress, and the fact that it sort of moves with the summer-wind is kind of just a bonus. Plus, I love how easily it can be dressed up or down, depending on the time of day. Today I paired it with velcro strapped, navy Senso sneakers & an oversized Part Deux scandi-inspired bag. The coincidental sundown, shadow-play vibes were totally unplanned; promise.

Awaking to the sound of bucketing rain at approximately 9.00AM this morning, the first official day of Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival, instantly appeared far less appealing. But with my umbrella and definitely-bound-to-fly-away fascinator at the ready, we made the trek out to Flemington to admire all the fashions, and [somewhat unintentionally] ignore all the horses. And, as if the weather totally understood the kind of crazy damage this torrential rain would have done to our fashionable selves, the clouds parted, the sun shined and we arrived at Flemington entirely dry and ready to party…if by party, we mean – take photos of our every single fashionable movement for the next five hours, people watch and marquee hop.

This Lady Loves

A STYLE TIP and something I’ve been doing (…and babbling on about!) for as long as I can remember is the idea of mixing the casual with the dressy, the expensive with the inexpensive, and the designer with the vintage. In fact, the more dramatic the mix; THE BETTER.
