Spontaneous Mid-week Road Trip

What uni? What job? A spontaneous mid-week road trip to Healesville seems like a far more logical way to spend our hump day. What else were four 20-something girls meant to do with this mid-winter-sunshine, an available car and a CD filled with 90’s hits? We simply did not have any other choice but to get in that car, sing-along to that music, drink that coffee and go on an adventure.

While in Healesville, we visited the beautiful Innocent Bystander Winery; TarraWarra Estate Winery and yes we may or may not have taken every single opportunity possible to embark on an impromptu photo-shoot but, well, you can decide for yourself whether or not that was the case…

Bomba, Girls & Cream

In an attempt to hold on to every last inch of freedom we can squeeze out of the holidays (disregarding the fact that Uni has actually already begun for the semester – I am currently in denial…) my girlfriend’s and I decided a good old fashion ‘girls night’ was in order. With my brightest red lipstick and highest of winter-bootie-heel present, it was time to hit the town. Disclaimer: I would just like to apologise in advance and I take no responsibility if the following photos make you crave Gelato Messina Ice-Cream, overpriced cocktails, Spanish Tapas from Bomba Downstairs or perhaps your own girl’s night out… That is all.

Enjoy .. xx*

Women and their Handbags

Why I Need so Many Handbags

In my closet currently live approximately 75 different handbags that I have collected during my time on this earth. Over time I have been able to accumulate a wide variety of handbags all with equal importance and necessity in my wardrobe. Some I may have picked up on sale at shops like Sportsgirl for $10 whilst others caused me to get into debt… well with myself anyway… but that’s a whole different story…

How to Travel in Style (on a Budget)

Travelling for High Maintenance, Low Tolerance People

Recently I spent time travelling during the European Winter with one of my girlfriends. Being a self-proclaimed high maintenance, low tolerance, relatively broke individual, it was important that my travel plans adhered to these somewhat limiting implications. If you are the kind of person who can book a one-way ticket to Europe taking with you a 30kilogram rucksack filled with only your essentials, then this post is definitely not for you. In fact it is unlikely that any aspect of my blog is at all for you, because the expression ‘back-packing through (*insert any European and/or exotic country here)’ and the word traveling should never ever be used in the same sentence. Unless that is you are referring to Julia Roberts’ role in ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ in which case, I really am glad all that getting in touch with nature and finding herself situation worked out for her… but it is simply not for me. Moving forward, even though I cannot stand this new craze which has recently hit the internet… where every second person feels as though their opinion will only be recognised or heard if they put their numerous opinions in number form and title their opinions ’12 Ways to Wear your Little Black Dress’ or ’15 Signs he is not the one’, I feel as though it is impossible for me to move forward without some chronological pattern to my rant. In which case…
